How to Invite People to Join You on Sgrouples

You might be thinking that it’s time to get others involved in your Sgrouples world.

The people with whom you connect on Sgrouples are all located in your “My Contacts” tab. Some of these may end up in your various Sgrouples groups…some may not. But you can send them Direct Messages, add any of them to your groups, or just keep them on your list in case you need to connect with them in the future.

Inviting people to Sgrouples and building this list is few short clicks away!

In this post, you will learn about the following:

Accessing the the “Invite People” Feature

There are 2 different ways you can access the “Invite People” feature:

1. The “My Contacts” Tab

The “My Contacts” tab is located near the end of the main tabs. This is where you can find all of your “Contacts,” or the people with whom you connect on Sgrouples.

There is a button in the upper-right hand corner of the page that reads “Invite More Contacts.” Give it a click.

You can invite people from the My Contacts tab if you don’t want to invite them to be in a specific group, but just want to connect with them in general.

2. “Invite New Members” in the “Groups” Tab

The “Groups” tab is the first of the Main Tabs and will fill with which ever Sgrouples group you choose from the left menu.

To the right-hand side, you should see a place for “Group Members” with an “Invite New Members” button. Give it a click.

You can invite people directly to your Sgrouples groups using this button in the groups tab. Note that inviting people directly to a group will give them access to preview the group with limited permissions before joining.

Once you’ve clicked on either “Invite More Contacts” or “Invite New Members,” you will be prompted with a new window titled either “Invite new contacts” or “Invite People to Join (Name of Sgrouples Group Here).”

There are 4 different paths you can take to invite people to join you:

1. Invite by Email Address

The most basic method is “Invite by Email Address.” Just enter the email addresses in the empty email address bar.

You can then choose which kind of permissions you wish to give these members  Do you want them to be able to contribute content? Or maybe you want them to only have access to viewing it? You can then add a personalized message that your invited member will see when they receive their email from Sgrouples.

When you have finished, click “Send Invitations” and your invitees will receive an email invite!

2. Invite from My Groups/Contacts

The second button in the upper-right hand corner reads “Invite from My Groups/Contacts” and allows you to invite people with whom you have already connected to a specific group. This option is only available when you click “Invite People” from within one of your groups.

You can separate your search into “All Users,” “Contacts not in a group,” or select one of your other Sgrouples groups with the buttons to the left in this new window, or you can simply type a name as you did in the “Invite from Facebook” section. Again, clicking on a name will add it to the “Selected Users” section.

Click “Save & Close” to return to the basic invitations page and you can set the permissions for each person you have selected.

When you have finished, click “Send Invitations” and the people you have selected will receive a notification on their Sgrouples account.

4. Invite From Address Books

Let’s say you can’t remember your friends’ email addresses, you don’t use Facebook, and you’re not already connected to them on Sgrouples, but you have them stored in your other networks. Click on the second tab, “Invite From Address Books,” and you can access contacts from places like Yahoo, Gmail, and AOL.

Choosing one of these icons will take you to a new window where you can sign into these services and select people.

Once you’ve finished, click whatever “Save” button the other platform allows you to return to the basic invitations page and you can set the permissions for each person you have selected.

Then, click “Send Invitations” and the people you have selected will receive a notification on their third party account.

So invite you friends! Invite your family! Invite your co-workers (if you dare)…Everyone will enjoy the power of Sgrouples.
